Setúbal is a lively seaside town with several fantastic beaches and a beautiful historical center. It is 1 hour by train from Lisbon, by bus or car it takes about 45 minutes. The Arrábida Natural Park starts right behind the house, and is great for hiking and biking, with forested hills and several great beaches. Tróia is a peninsula with an endless white sand beach, it can be reached by ferry. Since Setúbal is situated at a river delta, it has calmer and warmer waters than the Atlantic, making it the perfect place for swimming, SUPing, kayaking and snorkeling. The apartment is located about 300m from the historical center. There is an excellent river beach for swimming a short walk away, and Tróia can be reached by ferry. Just up the street there are two smaller supermarkets and a very popular bakery. There are many restaurants about 300m away. Parking is free an widely available around the house.
