Beautiful river house with 4 double bedrooms set over 3 floors in a peaceful setting with stunning views of the river Douro. The villa was designed by the daughter of the famous British designer David Mellor with each detail carefully chosen. It has an airy modern yet luxury feel with large bright windows, natural wood floors and spacious bedrooms with large comfortable beds and pristine linen. The basement has a swimming pool which opens up into the garden in the summer and is covered in winter. The top floor has views of the Douro river and a large wooden table perfect family dinners or cooked for you by our private chef and a fully equipped kitchen. You can walk into Porto along the stunning river walk or Uber into the center in just 10-15 minutes. Supermarkets are nearby with everything you need and it's 3 minutes to the highway in case you want to explore the Douro Valley or other cities. Important notes: The house is only for the people included in the booking and strictly no parties or excessive noise in outside areas is allowed and could result in contract cancellation. 2 sets of bed linen are provided at the beginning of the stay, but tenants are responsible for washing and changing it during the tenancy. There is a city/tourist tax to pay at checkin of €2.50 per adult per night up to 7 nights. The pool is heated upon request at €50 per day (max €150) all year to support our eco energy footprint. Please note that the villa is located in a quiet residential area with neighbouring homes nearby. The villa, garden and pool are for the exclusive use of guests. Access is needed for cleaning and maintenance.
