Five big windows bring air and light into the apartment and connect the indoor with the outdoor space. There is always shadow to be found on one side of the house or under the big parasol in the yard. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for preparing a meal at home including a dishwasher Originally build as accommodation for the employees of a chocolate factory, the Estrela D'ouro private community with its azulejo wall decorations and Galician star mosaics is a unique resting place. The lack of through traffic and the quiet village atmosphere provides a fantastic oasis of peace only fifteen minutes walk from the city center. The wider neighborhood of Graca is stretched out over the top of one of the city’s seven hills only a short downhill walk away from the city center and one hilltop away from the Lisbon Castle. You will find the most breathtaking of Lisbon's many viewpoints “Miradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte” just a five minute walk up the hill from the apartment and the famous tram # 28 stops just around the corner. Other attractions in the immediate area include the National Pantheon, the Monastery of "São Vicente de Fora" and the famous "Feira da Ladra" flea market held on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Lisbon is everything you have ever heard about it plus all the feelings it evokes when you throw yourself into its open arms. Soft, colorful, chaotic, melancholic, and timidly expressive.
